There are many benefits of yoni steaming. It is a natural and simple method of cleansing and detoxifying the uterus and vagina.
There are a few precautions you should take before using a Yoni Steam:
If the steam is too hot, you could burn vaginal tissues. Ensure that when you sit/squat above the steam, the temperature of the steam is comfortable. If you are tolerating it, then it's probably too hot and allow the steam to cool before continuing.
Do not steam longer than 30 minutes.
Ensure that the bowl or pot that you use is cleaned before use using a gentle cleaner and nothing to harsh to avoid unnecessary irritation and infections, such as yeast infections.
Yoni steaming is not recommended during your period or during pregnancy.
- Do not use after ovulation if attempting to conceive.
- If you have an infection and/or have vaginal sores or blisters.
DIRECTIONS: Add 4 cups of purified water to a pot and place one handful of fresh herb into the water. Bring water to a soft boil for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, and steep for another 5 minutes with the lid on. Pour into bowl that you have placed into toilet (make sure toilet has been cleaned with light cleanser) or Yoni Steam Seat. Wave your hand 8-10 inches over the herbal water to make sure it is not too hot. Remove your underwear and sit on the seat above the steaming water. Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist down to the floor making sure no steam escapes.
